
Ariel C. Triplett
Ariel C. Triplett is the Director of Emergency Management & Safety at Howard University’s Department of Public Safety – she leads preparedness, crisis management, and emergency response efforts. As part of her duties, she oversees emergency planning, incident monitoring, notifications via the Bison SAFE app, disaster preparedness education, special event planning and continuity of operations. With extensive experience in emergency management, Ariel has held key leadership roles in multi-agency exercises, environmental health and public safety operations. She has worked with government agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services, and led safety initiatives for the For Our Future Action Fund. As a regional specialist for Kaiser Permanente, she managed emergency operations for 35 facilities in the Mid-Atlantic and has created response and disaster drill plans that are still in use today. Her experience includes working with FEMA, DHS, and emergency programs at the Pentagon, Beverly Hills, and High Point University.
