David Corlett
David Corlett, Ph.D., PMP
David Corlett earned both his Ph.D. and MA in History from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. His research and teaching interests focus on the Atlantic World, comparative colonialism, and early New England. Before joining UVA full time, David taught with the BIS program since 2005, served as an Assistant Teaching Professor at Arizona State University (2019-2023), and as the Interim Director of the National Institute of American History & Democracy at the College of William & Mary. He is also a project manager, holding Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) certifications. David is a veteran of 10 years with the US Army. A resident of Fountain Hills, Arizona, he serves on the board of directors for the River of Time Museum and Discovery Center, the Fountain Hills Leadership Academy, and the town’s Historical and Cultural Advisory Commission.
