Kiran Chittargi

Kiran Chittargi serves as the Program Coordinator for UVA’s Cloud Computing Certificate. Chittargi has over two decades of experience in the software engineering domain, specializing in designing and managing large-scale enterprise systems with a particular focus on cutting-edge technologies such as Big Data, Cloud Services (Azure and AWS), and various web-based and open-source technologies. 

He is a Program Director at Microsoft, serving as the Azure Global Expansion Lead. In this capacity, Chittargi is responsible for devising and implementing strategies for launching and expanding Azure data centers globally. He oversees the entire process, partnering with various teams internally, from initial opportunity evaluation to the successful launch of data centers. 

Chittagi holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Johns Hopkins University. He is also certified by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a PMI Certified Agile Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
