Matthews, a published poet, memoirist, novelist and writing professor for the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, recently presented a lecture about this topic to cadets on the campus of Virginia Military Institute in Lexington.

Through the SCPS certificate program, Mable Hamlette-Franklin earned 18 graduate-level credits and learned relevant industry skills that primed her for instructing IT and Cybersecurity.
Six SCPS Master of Public Safety students were named Community Public Service Fellows and joined an interdisciplinary cohort to participate in a community engagement meeting.
