Richard Evans

Richard T. Evans, MBA, CPA

Richard is a Certified Public Accountant specializing in government and not-for-profit audits and advisory services in the Washington, D.C. area. He has more than 20 years of professional audit experience with State & Federal government agencies, and not-for-profit organizations that receive Federal contracts and grants. In his public accounting practice, Richard specializes in audit data analytics using dedicated audit software tools to conduct audit risk assessments, fraud detection, sampling and data visualization.

Richard has been an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Virginia Falls Church campus since 2006, teaching courses in Governmental/Not-for-Profit Accounting and Auditing with a focus on data analytics. He received his MBA (in Accounting) from California State University, Sacramento, and holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certifications.
