Name: Sumner Menchero

Program: Leadership Certificate, '23

Update: Sumner Menchero SCPS '23 celebrated the one-year anniversary of launching her own media consulting business in March. Inspired and empowered by the courses she took through the Leadership program, Sumner decided to "hang her own shingle," starting Menchero Creative Consulting, which serves public media organizations, nonprofits, filmmakers, and small businesses, helping them untangle knots related to communications, strategy, and storytelling. Since starting the business in 2023, she has worked with PBS, the Television Academy Foundation, and other organizations, but she considers her biggest success of this first year to be figuring out how to pay her taxes as a small business!
